“This event could not be possible without clubs like Team Shelby, the Mustang Club of America and LASAAC, as well as individual enthusiasts who plan to show their cars.”

Carroll Shelby partnered with Ford to transform the Mustang into a “Total Performance” winner. The Wimbledon White and Guardsman Blue result of this influential partnership was unveiled at Riverside Raceway on January 27, 1965. Carroll Shelby dubbed this car the Shelby G.T.350. Upon winning its first race less than a month later, it quickly became a symbol of American performance and ingenuity.

“The Shelby G.T.350 is almost as legendary as the man who created it,” said Joe Conway, CEO of Shelby American and co-CEO of Carroll Shelby International. “Our salute to the G.T.350’s heritage also celebrates Carroll, because this car embodies his larger-than-life persona. The Shelby G.T.350 truly changed the automotive landscape, which is why the cars are as desirable today as they were 50 years ago.”

Event gates open at 10 a.m. PDT; while there is no charge for public admission, a $10 donation to the Carroll Shelby Foundation includes a show decal. Attendees will feast their eyes on some of the rarest Shelby and Ford cars from the past five decades.

“Carroll’s legacy will be celebrated with hundreds of exciting cars, the enthusiasts that love them and as a way to platform for the charity that he loved,” said Neil Cummings, co-CEO of Carroll Shelby International and CEO of Carroll Shelby Licensing. “This event could not be possible without clubs like Team Shelby, the Mustang Club of America and LASAAC, as well as individual enthusiasts who plan to show their cars.”

Shelby American will display its latest vehicles including the 2015 Shelby GT. Carroll Shelby’s Store will be open with a new line of merchandise just for enthusiasts.

All Shelby and Ford performance car owners interested in displaying their cars can find the registration form on the Carroll Shelby Foundation website for a $40 donation. Enthusiasts across the globe are invited to join the “Rev Your Engine” salute to the life and astonishing career of Carroll Shelby at 1 p.m. PDT.

“Carroll was as passionate about helping others as he was about high performance,” said Jenni Shreeves, Executive Director of the Carroll Shelby Foundation. “We’re proud to carry on his mission to educate, aid and inspire young people through this Carroll Shelby Foundation event.”
