Mercedes-Benz Australia/Pacific Announces New Board Appointments

MELBOURNE – Feb 12, 2014: Following the global restructuring by parent company Daimler AG, Mercedes-Benz Australia/Pacific (MBAuP) today announced details of the business unit heads on the Board of Directors of MBAuP.

The revised structure is known under the banner of Customer Dedication and sees individual business units reporting directly to Daimler AG.

Horst von Sanden remains in the role of Managing Director Mercedes-Benz Cars Australia & New Zealand and takes on the additional responsibility of Chief Executive Officer of the Legal Entity, Mercedes-Benz Australia/Pacific Pty Ltd, effective 1 January 2014.

Daniel Whitehead is appointed Managing Director Daimler Truck and Bus. Daniel is currently serving as Executive Vice President of Aftersales China and is looking forward to his homecoming to Australia in his new role effective 1 March 2014.

Diane Tarr, formerly General Manager Vans, is appointed Managing Director Vans, effective 1 January 2014.
