Fiat Professional joins Yamaha Factory Racing
SYDNEY – Feb 3, 2014: Fiat Group’s commercial vehicle arm Fiat Professional has become official vehicle supplier and sponsor of leading MotoGP team Yamaha Factory Racing.
The deal will see Fiat Professional logos appear on the windscreens of Jorge Lorenzo’s and Valentino Rossi’s Yamaha YZR-M1 machines and the team use Fiat Professional and Fiat passenger vehicles throughout the 2014 season.
Fiat Professional logos will also appear on media walls during television interviews and on chairs in the pit garages.

Managing Director of Yamaha Motor Racing Srl Lin Jarvis said Fiat Professional vehicles would provide the team with a competitive edge in the all-important business of transporting staff and equipment.
“A huge amount of our work is logistics; moving people, moving parts, preparation etc,” Mr Jarvis said. “A partner such as Fiat Professional, who are providing us with excellent transport, is perfect for us.”
Yamaha Factory Racing is one of the most successful teams in the championship, having won six world titles since 2004.
Fiat Professional is also a brand on the move with its range of transport solutions featuring low running costs, high fuel efficiency, low emissions and outstanding reliability to meet the needs of small and medium-sized businesses.
More than 1000 Ducatos sold in Australia last year – a first for the model in the local market.
