Mazda Service Select Brings Greater Choice and Convenience for Customers

SYDNEY – Jan 20, 2014: Mazda Australia will from next month introduce Mazda Service Select, giving customers a flexible, more convenient way to service their Mazda.

Mazda Service Select, will be offered first on the All-New Mazda3 before being rolled out across all models by mid-year, allowing customers to service their car every 10,000km or no longer than 12 months rather than the current schedule of every six months or 10,000km.

From February 1, current owners and prospective Mazda customers will be able to view a full list of service prices for all Mazda models via the Mazda website or from any Mazda dealer.

With Mazda Service Select, the price of every scheduled service is capped for the life of the vehicle, meaning that customers can be assured of the maximum price they will pay for a service regardless of which Mazda dealer they visit.

This approach differs from most other Capped Service Programs which run for only a limited duration and expire at either three or five years.

With Mazda Service Select more closely aligning service visits with specific vehicle usage, owners may experience savings when compared to the current 6 monthly service schedule.

Ensuring that SKYACTIV Technology continues to run at optimum efficiency and the vehicle itself remains safe with the regular inspection of all safety items remains at the core of Mazda Service Select.

The managing director of Mazda Australia, Martin Benders, said: “Mazda is committed to ensuring customers have a safe and enjoyable driving experience irrespective of what distance they travel and Mazda Service Select matches a service program to individual owners based on their driving habits rather than the ‘one size fits all’ approach adopted by some other brands.

”Mazda Service Select means our customers are not locked into a schedule that may not reflect their driving habits. Over time the average number of kilometres travelled by our customers has dropped from 15,000km five years ago to 13,000km today. That means a typical Mazda customer will only have to service their car every nine months or so, meaning just four rather than six trips to their dealer over three years.

“Mazda Service Select maintains the 10,000km service interval as the vast majority of our customers are private buyers. They have told us and continue to tell us that they think the 10,000km interval provides a regular safety and tech check of their vehicle, ensuring both its longevity and stronger resale value.”

The innovative service program also includes a yearly service visit for the many Mazda customers that travel less than 5,000km a year.

Mazda Service Select also continues to offer many benefits exclusive to Mazda dealers such as factory trained technicians, the most advanced diagnostic tools and latest software upgrades.
