Kia Snatches Best Manufacturer Used Car Scheme Award
LONDON – Dec 5, 2013: Kia’s industry-leading Approved Used Car scheme has been honoured by Car Dealer magazine at its Used Car Awards in London.
Car Dealer selected Kia’s well-established scheme to top its list and praised the brand for showing such confidence in its used products that it tops up the normal Seven Year Warranty – even on cars up to 18 months old with up to 18,000 miles on the clock.
The judges singled out the warranty top-up along with the provision of one year’s roadside assistance, first year MOT cover and a 60-day exchange plan.
James Batchelor, Editor of Car Dealer said: “This was a closely fought battle and came down to the really small details – but ones that really matter. Kia Approved has a 60-day or 1,000-miles exchange policy showing they really have the customer at heart. They're a worthy winner of this special award.”
David McCluskey, Kia’s National Used Car Sales and Remarketing Manager said: “Car Dealer’s award is recognition of what we have always believed is the best manufacturer used car programme in the market. It is reassuring to have this verified by Car Dealer magazine – we are delighted and honoured!”
David received the award from Philip Morrison of award sponsors Car care Plan and TV personality and used car wheeler-dealer Mike Brewer.
At the same ceremony Burton Kia in the Midlands was adjudged Highly Commended in the Used Car Dealership of the Year in the Under 50 cars per year category
