MELBOURNE – Dec 4, 2013: Olympic Gold Medallist, Torah Bright, and Grease the Musical star, Rob Mills have today been announced as the third and fourth drivers to take part in the Mazda3 Celebrity Challenge at the 2014 Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix.

Australia’s first ever Olympic snowboarding gold medallist, Torah Bright, has an action packed year ahead of her in 2014. In February, Bright will compete in the Sochi Winter Olympics before heading home to Australia to fulfil her burning ambition of racing in the Mazda3 Celebrity Challenge.

“Racing in the Celebrity Challenge has been a dream of mine for many, many years. I love going fast and have a passion for motorsport. One day I’d love to be a race car driver.” said Bright.

“Just to be able to participate in the Mazda3 Celebrity Challenge and to have this experience is a highlight of my life.”

Contesting Bright for a podium finish will be Australian actor and singer Rob Mills, who is currently starring as Danny Zuko in the musical production of Grease the Musical. Mills, who shot to fame after becoming a finalist on the first season of Australian Idol, is looking forward to the change of pace and showcasing his competitive side.

“I have wanted to compete in the Celebrity Challenge for many years.” Mills said. “It’s a rare opportunity to be part of a world class event that showcases Mel-bourne on the international stage. Anything lower than a podium finish to me will be a fail!”

The Mazda3 Celebrity Challenge will feature 20 vehicles and will bring together celebrities from a wide variety of backgrounds and disciplines to compete at Melbourne’s spectacular Albert Park street circuit during the 2014 Formula 1® Australian Grand Prix.
