Mercedes-Benz E-Class and CLS-Class Awarded People's Choice Best Prestige Car

MELBOURNE – Dec 2, 2013. Mercedes-Benz Australia/Pacific has been recognised by Carsales.com.au and awarded both prestige car categories in the 2013 People’s Choice Awards.

The new generation Mercedes-Benz E-Class won the ‘Best Prestige Car Under $100,000’ award and continues to set the benchmark for safety and innovation in the large luxury car segment. The CLS-Class won the ‘Best Prestige Car over $100,000’ award and takes the unique concept of the four-door coupé to new heights and innovative effect.

Carsales journalists were quick to heap praise on the award winning vehicles, indicating that “The E-Class is one step closer to ‘accident free driving’, having added more ‘eyes’ to the car to improve safety. A reversing camera, Blind Spot Assist, and Collision Prevention Assist are now standard, the latter featuring brake-assist systems.”

Furthermore, the CLS-Class “possesses an atmosphere of sophistication not just in the materials used, but in the layout and positioning of the seats, controls and appointments.”
