Four 'Auto Trophy' wins for Audi

INGOLSTADT/DÜSSELDORF – Nov 28, 2013: Four trophies for the four rings: Audi has won four awards at this year’s “Auto Trophy”. For the 26th time, “Auto Zeitung” invited readers to vote for the best cars across all categories. 103,074 of them took the opportunity to have their say. The Audi A1, Audi A3 Cabriolet and Audi A6 were all voted top of their respective categories.

Readers were offered a choice of 400 models in 29 categories. The Audi A1 emerged as the winning compact model with 32.1 percent of the vote, the Audi A6 led the full-size category, polling 16.5 percent, and the Audi A3 Cabriolet captured 29 percent of the vote in the “Convertibles up to EUR 30,000” category.

The award ceremony was held at the Classic Remise in Düsseldorf. Prof. Rupert Stadler, Chairman of the Board of Management of AUDI AG, Prof. Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg, Member of the Board of Management of AUDI AG for Technical Development, and Luca de Meo, Member of the Board of Management of AUDI AG for Sales and Marketing, collected the awards at the event.

Audi also won the “Quality Trophy”. Werner Zimmermann, Head of Audi Quality Assurance, took receipt of the award. The “Quality Trophy” seeks to recognise outstanding quality and reliability in automobiles. It is sponsored by “Auto Zeitung” and the technical inspection body GTÜ Gesellschaft für Technische Überwachung.
