Holden VF Sportwagon Picks Up Carsales People's Choice Award
SYDNEY – Nov 26, 2013: Holden’s VF Sportwagon has been named best family car over $30,000 in the carsales.com.au’s People’s Choice Award.
The award which is voted on by visitors to carsales.com.au, is the first customer-based award for the new VF Commodore range.
Holden Executive Director Vehicle Sales, Service and Marketing, Philip Brook said the People’s Choice Award was recognition of Commodore’s ongoing appeal to families and new car buyers.
“The Sportwagon is a top choice for families as it offers great looks, flexibility, cutting edge technology and five-star safety while representing great value for money with peace-of-mind capped price servicing.
“We’re continuing to see strong interest from private buyers with the new VF Commodore range, and this is reflected in this award which is voted on by everyday Australians.
“VF Commodore was the third best-selling car in Australia last month and that success has been driven by Australian families.”
On announcing the awards, Managing Director and CEO of carsales.com Ltd, Greg Roebuck, said the Australian new car market was the most vibrant in the world.
“Almost 60 brands are represented here and the competition is tough. A win in any carsales People’s Choice Award category demonstrates strong customer appeal, great branding and a real connection with new car buyers and the general public alike,” Mr Roebuck said.
The win is the second major award for the home-grown Holden VF Commodore, following the VF Commodore SV6 being named best large car under $60,000 in Australia’s Best Car Awards.
