MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OH--November 12, 2013: For the third year in a row, Progressive Insurance is one of the nation’s Top 100 Military Friendly Employers, according to G.I. Jobs. Each year, the magazine ranks companies based on criteria such as long-term commitment to military hiring, Reserve/Guard policies and veteran training programs.

“We’re very proud to once again be recognized for our strong commitment to military recruiting efforts across the company, at all of our locations countrywide”

G.I. Jobs compiled the list from more than 5,000 entrants. Only companies with more than $500 million in revenue were eligible to compete and only two percent made the top 100 list.

“We’re very proud to once again be recognized for our strong commitment to military recruiting efforts across the company, at all of our locations countrywide,” said John Hoppes, Progressive’s National Recruiting Director. “Transitioning service members bring a competitive and unique skill set to our work environment. We seek out people who can think strategically and are up for a challenge.”

In addition to Progressive’s 100 percent differential pay to active-duty Reservists and continuing medical benefits for active-duty Reservists and their dependents, our internal employee resource group, MILNET, is designed to foster a sense of community for employees with a military background, including veterans, active guard and reserve service members as well as their families. Five percent of our workforce are former members of the military.
