LONDON – Nov 7, 2013: Gary Pallister is the latest Manchester United legend to support the Manchester United Themed Chevrolet Trax Auction.

The former Old Trafford star was the guest of honour at Chevrolet retailer Sherwoods in Stockton on Tees as the Chevrolet Trax signed by the Manchester United first team embarked on a UK tour.

One lucky fan will have the chance to drive away with a unique Chevrolet Trax signed by the Manchester United first team in a special eBay for Charity auction which ends on the 6th of November.

All the proceeds from The Manchester United Themed Chevrolet Trax Auction will go to Manchester United Foundation to support its work in the community.

The highest bidder will win a Chevrolet Trax 1.6 LT Sports Utility Vehicle, liveried with a motif bonnet signed by the Barclays Premier League winning Manchester United team of 2012/13.

The auction has already attracted a number of bidders and is currently over £13,500 and is expected to ramp up on the last day of bidding.

Apart from the signed Trax, Chevrolet, the Official Automotive Partner to Manchester United, has also donated a number of highly sought after items including a Wayne Rooney match-worn shirt from his hat-trick match against Hannover in 2012 and a signed shirt from Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic, worn during this year’s Community Shield against Wigan.

The list of items falling under the hammer also includes a One World Futbol signed by Manchester United first team squad players Patrice Evra, Michael Carrick, Ashley Young, Jonny Evans, Anders Lindegaard and Danny Welbeck. Auction participants also have the chance to be a team mascot at Manchester United’s match against Hull City on April 26, 2014.

Chris Shutt, Sales Manager Sherwoods Chevrolet, said; “We are very grateful to Gary Pallister for giving up his time to come and meet us in Stockton and support the auction.

“He took time to meet all of the staff in Stockton and I am sure it is a day that they won’t forget.”

Andy Higgins, Managing Director of Chevrolet UK, commented; “We are very excited about The Manchester United Themed Chevrolet Trax Auction. To my knowledge it is the first time that a car signed by the whole Manchester United team has been made available to the fans and I am sure there are plenty of them across the world who would like to get their hands on it.

“The money raised from the auction will make a significant difference to the fantastic work carried out by the Manchester United Foundation and we are delighted to be working with them on this project.”

The Manchester United Foundation works in some of the most disadvantaged areas across Greater Manchester and uses the passion for Manchester United to educate, motivate and inspire young people.
