SYDNEY - Nov 6, 2013: Hyundai Motor Company Australia finished October in third place overall in the market, ahead of Mazda, Ford and Nissan, with total sales of 8,130 units (8.8% market share), achieving a record sales result for the month.

For passenger car sales, Hyundai’s total of 5,957 vehicles placed the brand in third position with 12.7% market share.

The i20 and ix35 continue to be the number one selling vehicles in their segments, with 1,732 units sold (17.2% market share) and 1,480 units sold (26.6% market share) respectively in October.

Another four Hyundai models also achieved podium results in October, with the iLoad, iMax and Veloster all finishing in second place in their respective segments, and the i30 finishing third in its segment.

Total industry sales for the month of 92,603 were down -3.1% YOY while Hyundai total sales achieved a growth of +7.3% over the same period, the highest growth of any brand.
