AutoNation Total retail new vehicle unit sales in October 2013 increased 9% versus October 2012

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL--Nov. 4, 2013: AutoNation, Inc. , America's largest automotive retailer, today announced that its total retail new vehicle unit sales in October 2013, as reported to the applicable automotive manufacturers, were 22,914, an increase of 9% as compared to October 2012. Same-store retail new vehicle unit sales in October 2013 were 21,833, an increase of 4% as compared to October 2012. Total retail new vehicle unit sales for AutoNation's operating segments were as follows:

7,003 for Domestic, up 9% versus October 2012, 10,744 for Import, up 8% versus October 2012, and 5,167 for Premium Luxury, up 13% versus October 2012.

AutoNation expects to report November 2013 retail new vehicle unit sales on Wednesday, December 4, 2013.
