Honda and Castrol Introduce a New Range of Co-branded Products for Cars in Europe

LONDON, October 17, 2013: Honda Motor Europe has entered into a three year cooperation agreement with Castrol as its recommended lubricants supplier with an excellent new range of co-branded products and genuine oils for use in Honda engines.
The Honda Castrol cooperation is one born from common objectives: performance and fuel economy. Honda strives to deliver high-efficiency products equipped with advanced technologies that reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions without comprimising driving performance. As one of the the world's leading innovators of lubricant technology, Castrol pioneers new ways to improve the efficiency and performance of engines. Honda and Castrol have co-engineered a new range of low-viscosity lubricants, Castrol EDGE Professional H, for existing Honda models to maximise the performance and efficiency of the manufacturer's engines.

Castrol EDGE Professional H advanced premium lubricants have been designed for use in Honda's existing range of high-tech i-VTEC petrol engines, i-DTEC diesel engines, including the new 1.6 i-DTEC engine which is available on the Civic and will soon be introduced on the CR-V and Civic Tourer, and Honda's hybrid engines.

Castrol EDGE Professional H and Honda genuine oil is the only oil range recommended by Honda in Europe and is available through Honda's dealer network.
Background
Honda and Castrol have a long history within cars, motorcycles and also racing. In 1959 a Castrol backed Honda motorcycle squad took the manufacturers' title in their very first Isle of Man outing. Since then, Honda and Castrol have enjoyed countless victories in MotoGP, World Superbikes and endurance bike racing and now the FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC). Castrol is the title sponsor of the Honda team for the 2013 WTCC season. The Castrol Honda WTCC team secured a victory in only the third meeting of the season and since then have acheived numerous podiums and the Manufacturers' Champtionship title. For both Honda and Castrol performance on the track or on the road is paramount.
