LONDON – Oct 8, 2013: Infiniti is pleased to announce that Hugues Fabre has been appointed to head up Infiniti commercial operations for Western Europe. He succeeds Guillaume Pelletreau who is taking up a new role within the Infiniti parent group.

Currently Global Marketing Strategy Director at Infiniti in Hong Kong, Hugues Fabre’s title from 1 November 2013 will be General Manager – Western Europe for Infiniti EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa). Based in Rolle, Switzerland, he will report to Infiniti EMEA Vice President Fintan Knight.

“Infiniti Red Bull Formula One cars are winning on the tracks, while passion and innovative craftsmanship behind our models and concepts are building our reputation on the roads,” said Hugues Fabre. “The new generation of premium models like the Q50 and the Q30 will soon stand out for their emotion and technology. With all of this we have the greatest opportunity yet to build the brand in Europe and that is exactly what we will be doing over the coming months.”

The French-born bachelor of economics has worked in various automotive sales and marketing roles since beginning his career as a business analyst with Ford in 1992. Since 2004 he has worked within Infiniti’s parent group, and was appointed Marketing Director of Nissan Iberia before joining Infiniti in Hong Kong.

As General Manager – Western Europe, Fabre will be overseeing the Brand’s sales and marketing at a time when the imminent Q50 is aiming right at the heart of Europe’s premium business car sector. “In either diesel or Direct Response hybrid version, the Infiniti Q50 is a great car, and to be launching it in Europe now is the best possible start I could have,” said Fabre.

Infiniti EMEA Vice President Fintan Knight said: “Thanks to the work put in by Guillaume and the rest of the team Infiniti has a springboard for the success of our new generation of Q models. Western Europe is the world’s toughest premium market but I am convinced that by being provocative and staying true to Infiniti’s ideals, the brand’s position within that market is poised to be transformed.”
