MILTON KEYNES, UNITED KINGDOM – Sept 6, 2013: In a year that has already seen six new or facelifted ŠKODAs launched, the PR team is set to be boosted by an exciting new addition as Jo Davis has been appointed Media Relations Manager. Jo will start her new role on Monday 9 September.

Jo joins the ŠKODA UK team following a four-year stint at Porsche Cars GB, and brings with her extensive knowledge of both the car market and the motoring press. In her new role, Jo will oversee all product launch events and media trips, and will, of course, be at the end of the phone for all the usual day-to-day media enquiries.

“I'm really pleased to be joining the ŠKODA team at such an exciting time,” comments Jo. “I’m looking forward to getting to grips with ŠKODA’s product line up, starting with the introduction of the Rapid Spaceback next week at the Frankfurt Motor Show.”

A keen mountain-biker and triathlon fanatic, Jo’s passion for all things two-wheeled fits perfectly with ŠKODA’s ongoing support of cycling. She’s also a regular half-marathon runner, and brings with her a reputation for coercing colleagues into tackling endurance events!

Commenting on Jo’s arrival, Cathie Sleigh, Head of Press and PR said: “I'm really proud of the Skoda UK PR team, their dedication and what they've accomplished whilst shorthanded all summer - seven car launches, success at Goodwood, an expanded press fleet and four Headline Auto nominations all speak to that. Jo will move us back to full strength and bring her experience, enthusiasm and fresh perspective. We all welcome her to ŠKODA UK.”

The rest of the ŠKODA Press team remains the same, with Michelle Henniker responsible for all aspects of ŠKODA product news, plus our dedicated media website, www.skodamedia.com. Amy Allen continues to wrangle the press fleet, and should be the first port of call for any test car loan requests. Amy will be assisted in her press fleet duties by Luke Rankin, Press Fleet Specialist at DHL. The press team will also be joined until December by Chalien Anys, who will spend three months in ŠKODA UK PR as part of a Volkswagen Group placement scheme.
