Infiniti Expands its Australian Team

MELBOURNE - Sept 2, 2013: Infiniti Cars Australia has appointed Andrei Zaitzev to the newly created role of National Manager, Sales.

Zaitzev, 40, joins the premium auto maker at the start of its next Australian market development phase. The highly experienced industry operative brings to Infiniti an enviable record of local experience and results and will be responsible for advancing the company’s sales function. He will report to Kevin Snell, General Manager of Infiniti Cars Australia.

“Andrei’s appointment is great news for Infiniti and is one of several milestones planned for Infiniti’s next stage in Australia,” said Kevin Snell.

“Andrei brings to our team the right mix of experience and knowledge and will focus on developing our local sales operations. His appointment has been timed according to the progressive steps we have mapped for Infiniti in this country and I’m very pleased he’s chosen to join the team.”

Andrei Zaitzev joins Infiniti Cars Australia from automotive distributor Ateco Automotive where he was previously responsible for the Alfa Romeo and Fiat brands and more recently the company’s commercial vehicles portfolio. Prior to Ateco, Zaitev worked for Inchcape/Subaru Australia as a Regional Manager and was a dealership General Manager for Subaru. He holds Bachelor’s degrees in arts and mechanical engineering.

Infiniti was officially launched in Australia in September last year. The performance luxury carmaker commenced its Australian operations with three boutique Infiniti Retail Centres - in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane - and with two exciting models: the FX performance crossover and the Infiniti M sedan. The Infiniti G37 coupe and G37 convertible joined the Infiniti’s Australian model catalogue in December and the stunning all-new Infiniti Q50 sedan will soon join the local range
