Award-winning app for the iPhone and Android delivers connected car experience via real-time parking availability, additional functionality, and clean user interface
FOSTER CITY, CA--July 10, 2013: Streetline, Inc. today announced that the latest release of it's award-winning parking guidance application, Parker by Streetline, is now available for Android. Parker 4.0 features a clean, updated design; an easy-to-use side panel menu; and one-click turn-by-turn voice navigation—further enhancing the hands-free capabilities of the app.
Parker displays open on-street parking in real time, as well as available parking at garages and nearby parking lots, by tapping data from Streetline's real-time sensor network in more than 35 locations globally and parking garage and lot data for more than 23,000 off-street locations. Since the app was first introduced in December 2010, Parker by Streetline has recorded more than 100 million parking "events" and was recently named Best Mobile Innovation for 'Smart Cities' at the 2013 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

"With the release of ParkerData™ just a few weeks ago, which provides free, open access to 20,000+ U.S. garage and lot data via an API for developers and car manufactures to get creative and incorporate parking as an ingredient on various platforms."
"With the worldwide continued increase in market share of Android operating systems, we're dedicated to providing high quality data to drivers," added Vito Salvaggio, Senior Vice President, Product Management of Streetline, Inc. "With Parker and ParkerData, we're providing a ton of possibility to improve quality of life and the driving experience by making parking easier for everyone."
