CHICAGO--July 3, 2013: Members of the Fuel Rewards Network (FRN) program have already saved more than $160 million at the pump, and now the FRN program is taking that message across the nation with their Great American Fuel Price Relief Tour. Kicked off last month as part of the celebration of the first anniversary of the FRN program, the tour is lead by the FRN Ambassador team and is traveling across the country in the FRN RV, attending local and national events and educating consumers about the program and its goal to save Americans $1 billion on their fuel costs.
“This level of consumer interaction allows us the opportunity to create awareness for the FRN program and the Great American Fuel Price Relief Tour in this area, which traditionally has some of the highest fuel prices in the country.”
The Fuel Rewards Network program is a free loyalty program that helps members save money on fuel when purchasing the goods and services that they normally do. With access to nearly 700 online merchants, 1,400 retailers, and more than 10,000 restaurants across the country, FRN Members have significant opportunities to reduce their price at the pump each time they fill up year round.
The FRN Ambassador team will be traveling in the FRN RV in and around Chicago throughout most of July and August and will be featured at four major area events:
July 3-7, Naperville Rib Festival, which will feature some of the top rib vendors in the country as well as musical performers on two stages. Fireworks will light up the night on July 4th and proceeds will go to help end child abuse and domestic violence.
July 27-28, North Shore Art Festival, which will showcase great art, live music and offer fun art projects for the kids to enjoy. This event will benefit the Skokie Chamber of Commerce.
August 16-18, Chicago Air and Water Show presented by Shell Oil and the City of Chicago, which is the largest free show of its kind in the U.S.
August 24-25, Highland Park Art Festival, which is one of the top five festivals in the country and features more than 260 of the world's most celebrated artists. Young artists will have the opportunity to showcase their work in the Youth Art Division.
At each event, consumers will have the opportunity to sign up for the free FRN program to start saving at least 3 cents per gallon instantly on every fill-up at participating Shell stations across the country. In addition, FRN Members can play the FRN program's 'Spin to Save' game to instantly add more rewards to their FRN Accounts to roll down their price at the pump for even bigger savings.
"Chicago is a tremendous, culturally rich area, and we are looking forward to having a presence at these popular community events," said Dickson Perry, Founder and CEO of Excentus, the provider of the FRN program. "This level of consumer interaction allows us the opportunity to create awareness for the FRN program and the Great American Fuel Price Relief Tour in this area, which traditionally has some of the highest fuel prices in the country."
