MELBOURNE – July 2, 2013: Nissan has achieved an all-time, any month sales record for the Australian market in June 2013.

According to its internal sales estimate, Nissan recorded 9,228 new vehicle sales last month, the highest monthly sales result ever achieved by Nissan in Australia for any month.

The figure is also approximately 10 per cent higher than June 2012. Full sales results will be reported later this week by VFACTS.

“This fantastic record sales achievement comes as a result of a lot of hard work and a steadfast approach to our FY13 business plan from everyone at Nissan,” said Nissan Motor Company (Australia) Managing Director and CEO William F Peffer Jr.

“Our dealership network, in particular, should be applauded for their efforts in June. We are pleased to have achieved such a stellar sales result in June, concurrent with the arrival of the Pulsar Hatch - a strong contributor to this success.

“More hard work lies ahead in these extremely competitive market conditions, as we prepare for the launch of the all-new JUKE, Pathfinder, and Altima models in the fourth quarter of the 2013 calendar year.”

The all-new Nissan Pulsar and the Navara, ‘Australia’s Most Powerful Tradie’, both recorded over 2,000 sales for June 2013, with DUALIS and X-TRAIL each scoring well over 1,000 sales.

Model Highlights included:

  • Navara – 2,665 - Best ever Calendar Year-To-Date performance with 13,600 units in the first half of the 2013
