MELBOURNE – June 28, 2013: Nissan today announced the start of its own financial services business in New Zealand.

Known as Nissan Financial Services New Zealand, this all-new finance company will provide in-house support to Nissan’s 30-strong national automotive retail network in the form of wholesale finance and a variety of compelling retail finance products for New Zealand’s new vehicle buyers.

This all-new finance division, which is part of Nissan New Zealand’s operations, has been modelled on its highly successful Australian equivalent, Nissan Financial Services Australia. It has been designed to deliver a variety of benefits to both the car maker’s New Zealand retail network and its customers, including competitive new finance products, transparent and easy-to-understand terms and fast-turnaround of campaigns.

“Nissan Financial Services has been a cornerstone of Nissan’s ongoing sales success in Australia,” said Nissan Australia Managing Director and CEO, William F. Peffer Jr.

“New Zealand buyers will soon enjoy the many benefits of our captive finance company, which has made our range of compelling models even more affordable and with flexible purchase terms designed to suit the buying needs of many customers.”

Nissan Financial Services New Zealand will officially commence its wholesale operations in August with the first retail services to start in November.

“Nissan sold 6,370 new vehicles in New Zealand in 2012,” said Mr Peffer. “And with the advent of Nissan Financial Services New Zealand my team and I expect our customers in New Zealand will find owning a Nissan even easier and more affordable.”
