PHOENIX--June 18, 2013: Veolia Transportation's On Demand division (VTOD), operators of SuperShuttle, ExecuCar and taxi services nationwide have acquired EnviroCab of Arlington, Va.  The acquisition of EnviroCab while small, will jump-start VTOD's continued commitment to more environmentally friendly forms of transportation.

EnviroCab operates a fleet of 50 taxis in the Arlington/DC metro area.  VTOD has explored expansion into this area for some time, and EnviroCab will complement existing operations at Dulles airport and the surrounding areas.  EnviroCab operates 100% on an independent contractor owner-operator model, utilizing environmentally friendly taxis.  The company maintains Toyota Prius and other hybrids in their fleet.

Veolia Transportation is the leading provider of passenger ground transportation services on the North American continent, operating bus, rail, taxi, shuttle and para-transit systems in over 120 locations in the US and Canada.  Veolia Transportation entered the North American market in 2001 and has quickly expanded to a national presence, with over 16,000 employees and annual revenues approaching $1 billion
