LUTON, UNITED KINGDOM – May 24, 2013: Vauxhall scooped two awards at the prestigious Fleet World Honours 2013, retaining the Best MPV award for the Zafira Tourer and winning the Best Small Van gong for the Combo.

The Fleet World Honours, presented on Tuesday at the Royal Automotive Club, are held annually for those motor manufacturers, service companies and individuals who have achieved the highest possible level of excellence in the fleet sector.

“The Zafira Tourer wins again because it combines practicality, cost efficiency and style best among the competitors in its sector,” said Steve Moody, Fleet World Editor. “And of course, the Flex7 seating ensures it is a people carrier that really can carry seven people. We looked long and hard at all the competitors in this sector, but on the basis of looks, practicality, cost and reliability the Zafira Tourer retained the title it so deservedly won last year.”

Rounding off a hat-trick of awards this year, the Combo has also won the What Van? Light Van of the Year and the Best Light Van award from the awards.

“With the new Combo, Vauxhall has been able to offer customers a much wider range of load volumes and payloads, right up to a full 1-tonne capacity, as well as a broad spread of engine capacities and power outputs, all of which drive really well,” said John Kendall, Van Fleet World Editor. “Low fuel consumption and emissions, the option of a Tecshift automated transmission, ecoFLEX models and a crew van option, means that there is a Combo model to suit a much wider spread of customer requirements.”

“We’re delighted to be recognised at the Fleet World Honours with the Zafira Tourer retaining the Best MPV award and Combo picking up its third award so far this year,” said James Taylor, Vauxhall’s Fleet Sales Director.
