Johnson Controls Automotive Seating receives Manufacturing Leadership 100 Award

Supplier recognized in the Global Value Chain category for its business transformation initiative
PLYMOUTH, MI--May 16, 2013: Johnson Controls Automotive Seating, a global leader in automotive seating and seat components, was recently recognized by Manufacturing Executive, a global association for manufacturing executives, with its Manufacturing Leadership 100 (ML100) Award in the Global Value Chain category.
Johnson Controls was honored for implementing a new business initiative that integrated logistics and operational processes across its plants using Systems, Applications and Products in Data Processing (SAP) software.
"This award is a testament to the commitment of our employees and leadership team to achieving business process excellence for our entire global supply chain," said Randall Urban, vice president, IT applications management for Johnson Controls Automotive Seating.
According to Urban, by integrating the company's logistics processes across its plants, finance and purchasing system, Johnson Controls was able to achieve the following:

- Availability of individual plant-level information for analysis.
- Information accuracy.
- Consistency and speed of data availability.
