WESTLAKE, Ohio--April 25, 2013: TravelCenters of America LLC (TravelCenters), operator of the TA and Petro Stopping Centers travel center brands, has announced the opening of two newly built truck service facilities. The newest Petro:Lube Truck Service is located at I-70, Exit 252 in Salina, Kansas, and offers four service bays. TA Truck Service adds is newest facility at I-94, Exit 22B in Porter, Indiana, with six bays. Both facilities are open 24/7/365.

Highly trained ASE- and TIA-certified technicians will be on staff at these locations and throughout the TA Truck Service and Petro:Lube network. The TA and Petro Service Network specializes in providing light duty repair, brakes, electrical, alignment, air conditioning, preventive maintenance, inspections and RoadSquad emergency road call services. These two new locations take the total number of truck service facilities in the TA and Petro branded chains to 231.

Both facilities have been built to include generator power in case of an electrical outage. Additionally, to enhance the comfort of professional drivers waiting for maintenance work to be performed, outdoor patio and seating areas have been designed for customers to enjoy. Large, indoor waiting areas with TVs are also available.

"We are happy to open new truck service operations at both of these locations in order to provide a complete full-service offering to customers and keep them rolling," shared Tom O'Brien, President and CEO of TravelCenters.

The TA-Petro annual independent survey of Overdrive magazine readers in late 2012 showed that TA Truck Service and Petro:Lube were "Voted Best" by professional drivers in eight categories, including Best Maintenance Shops, 4:1; Most Competent Technicians, 7:1; Most Trusted to Perform, 10:1; and Most Complete Shops, 8:1. These ratios depict driver preference for TA and Petro versus the next closest over-the-road repair and maintenance facilities, including truck stops. TA and Petro were voted Best Overall Truck Stops, preferred 4:1 over the competition.
