Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles adds Crafter Van and Amarok to Runner Special Edition Range

BOTANY, AUSTRALIA – Marc 27, 2013: Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has expanded its special edition Runner model range to include Crafter Van and Amarok, joining Transporter and Caddy Runner editions.
Priced at $39,990 drive-away for the Crafter Van Runner Special Edition, and $26,990 drive-away for the Amarok Runner Special Edition, these new additions to the Runner range, which already includes Caddy Van and Transporter, also feature signature Runner equipment and are available in limited numbers – 100 and 90 vehicles respectively.
Equipped to withstand the rigors of daily deliveries of courier drivers in Germany, the Runner special edition vehicles are identified by their hard-wearing, heavy duty ‘Runner’ trim, featured in the Crafter, Caddy Van and Transporter models, and unique ‘Runner’ badging or decals across the range.
Offering the same sharp drive-away pricing customers expect of the Runner range, both new additions also feature an impressive list of features including ESP, hill hold control, ‘climatic’ air conditioning and daytime running lights; along with the performance and efficiency of Volkswagen’s TDI and TSI engines.
Based on the Crafter 35 with standard roof, the Crafter Runner is equipped with an 80kW/300Nm two-litre turbocharged diesel engine; while the single cab Amarok Runner features an 118kW/300Nm turbocharged petrol engine, and also receives an accessory alloy tray as standard.
Durable and efficient, both Crafter Van and Amarok Runner special editions are also versatile – offering 1537kg and 1303kg payloads respectively.
All editions are available now at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles dealerships, and come with a three-year, unlimited kilometre warranty.
