Honda Australia Supporting Netball

TULLAMARINE,AUSTRALIA – Marc 25,2013: Honda Australia is proud to be a Major Partner and the Official Automotive Partner of Australian netball.

Honda’s partnership covers all levels of the game from grassroots through to the world champion Australian Diamonds. The 2013 ANZ Championship kicked off yesterday with the Queensland Firebirds, Adelaide Thunderbirds and the Waikato/Bay of Plenty Magic all claiming victory in their games.

Honda Australia’s Director and General Manager Sales and Marketing Mr. Stephen Collins said, “Netball is a sport for every Australian and one that nurtures a great culture of leadership, athleticism and a healthy lifestyle. Many of our customers are familiar with Saturday mornings spent down at the local netball courts cheering on friends and family. We are proud to partner with Netball Australia and look forward to an exciting and competitive season.”

ANZ Championship General Manager Andy Crook is delighted to have Honda on board for this year’s competition. “The partnership with Honda further demonstrates the ANZ Championship is a commercially attractive product for brands from a variety of sectors,” Mr. Crook said.

Honda will have a strong presence on court at all ANZ Championship matches played in Australia with signage, court decals and branding on the goal post padding throughout the season.

Netball is the country’s leading women’s participation team sport. Approximately one in every five Australian girls aged 14yrs and under play netball. Over 1.2 million people participate in the sport around Australia, making it one of the most social and vibrant in the country.
