MELBOURNE – Marc 14, 2013: Japanese performance luxury car brand Infiniti is set to deliver excitement at this weekend’s Australian Formula 1Ž Grand Prix, both on and off the track.

Reigning world champions Infiniti Red Bull Racing will again be chasing victory on the Albert Park circuit and visitors to this weekend’s Australian Formula 1Ž Grand Prix will have the opportunity to chase their own motor racing victory, from behind the wheel of a stunning Infiniti G37 Convertible.

Infiniti’s newest interactive display, called the Infiniti G-Force Challenge, will allow visitors to this weekend’s event to race each other in a pair of matching 235kW Infiniti G37 Convertibles, the latest Infiniti sports model to hit Australian roads. Situated side-by-side, two competitors at a time will be able to unleash the cars’ maximum performance in a simulated race, broadcast on a large panel screen located in front of the drivers. The unique event is designed to allow guests to experience the G37’s 235kW 3.7-litre petrol V6 engine and add the type of authentic racing excitement typically missing from motor racing simulators.

Infiniti’s G-Force Challenge is part of Infiniti’s stunning exhibition at this weekend’s Formula 1 event. Also on display will be cars from the Infiniti’s stunning catalogue and a chance for visitors to experience Australia’s newest luxury car brand.

Infiniti’s activities at this year’s Australian Formula 1Ž Grand Prix are designed to fuel its growing brand awareness in Australia. Since officially commencing local sales last September, Infiniti has rapidly collected fans and customers and this weekend’s activities are expected to see these numbers grow.

“Infiniti is a performance-oriented luxury car brand,” said Kevin Snell, the General Manager of Infiniti Cars Australia, “and anyone visiting the Australian Formula 1Ž Grand Prix this weekend will have the chance to experience this.

“Inspired Performance is Infiniti’s underpinning ethos and the Infiniti G-Force Challenge is a great way to bring this to life.”

Infiniti is also expected to attract a lot of attention on the track this weekend. For 2013, the performance luxury car brand has extended its agreement with the reigning Formula 1 world championship-winning Red Bull racing team and has become its technical partner. Not only is Infiniti now the team’s exclusive Vehicle Performance Partner it is also its title partner, with the team now named Infiniti Red Bull Racing.
