WALTHAM, MA--March 5, 2013: Red Bend Software, the market leader in Mobile Software Management (MSM) with more than 1.6 billion Red Bend-Enabled devices, will participate in a panel titled "Where is the Networked Car Going?" on March 6 at the World Standards Cooperation's Fully Networked Car Workshop, being conducted in association with the Geneva International Motor Show.
The amount of software used to manage an automobile's critical components and In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) system is increasing exponentially. Yoram Berholtz, Red Bend's Director of Market Adoption, will discuss how Firmware Over-the-Air (FOTA) updating can be used to manage software inside automotive head units, infotainment systems and electronic control units (ECUs). He also will discuss the benefits of virtualization technology, which creates a more secure and efficient driving environment by allowing software to run in separate operating systems.
The Fully Networked Car Workshop is a one-day event that will focus on how international standards can help the industry meet customer needs and continue to develop the cars of the future.
