New Managing Director/CEO for Honda Australia

TULLAMARINE, AUSTRALIA – Feb 25,2013: Honda Australia has today announced the appointment of a new Managing Director and CEO.

Mr. Noriyuki Takakura will commence with Honda Australia on 1 April 2013.

Prior to his appointment to Australia, Mr. Takakura was Senior Manager Regional Sales Operation (Japan), Sales Operations Division, Hokkaido area.

Mr. Takakura, a graduate from Kyoto University, commenced with Honda in 2002 in its Regional Sales Operation (Japan), Regional Operation Planning Office, Planning block.

In 2006 he transferred to Regional Sales Operation (Japan), Automobile Marketing Office, Product Planning block.

Mr. Takakura replaces Honda Australia’s current Managing Director and CEO, Mr. Satoshi Matsuzawa, who returns to Japan having completed three years leading the Australian operation.

Mr. Matsuzawa has been appointed Managing Director of Honda Foundation (Japan), an Associated organisation of Honda Motor Co., Ltd.
