Record Website Traffic For Kia Motors

LONDON – Feb 7, 2013: The Kia Motors (UK) Limited website www.kia.co.uk has seen a record breaking volume of visits in January 2013, with the latest statistics surpassing all previous traffic levels.

Website traffic reached record levels with 1,142,146 visits – up 45 per cent compared to January 2012 with 32 per cent of this traffic coming from mobile devices, reflecting the change in consumer browsing behaviour. In addition, traffic to Kia Dealer sites increased with visits up a staggering 59 per cent compared to the same period last year.

After the Christmas period, record levels of mobile and tablet visits to the sites were recorded, accounting for over 30 per cent of all traffic received in January 2013 – the highest ever. In the UK, over 28 million people now own a smartphone and 3.6 million own a tablet. Reflecting this on-going trend towards mobile browsing both the Kia.co.uk site and the dealer sites are mobile and tablet compatible.

Kia’s new TV advert went live in January, emphasising the company’s pioneering new partnership with Reevoo, focusing on customer feedback. Reevoo now have over 4,000 Kia reviews with an average product satisfaction rating of 8.9 out of 10. These reviews can be found at www.kia.co.uk/reviews.

The mobile statistics continue to surpass expectations, highlighting the shift in consumer behaviour and is a pattern we expect to see continuing throughout 2013.”
