A Sensational Start to 2013 for Chrysler Jeep Dodge Brands

SYDNEY – Feb 6, 2013: Fiat Chrysler Australia has reported a sensational start to 2013 for their Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge brands, with total sales of 1,906 units during the month – a 57.5 per cent improvement on the same period last year.

Veronica Johns, FCA’s director of sales, was delighted with the continuing sales increase experienced by the group.

“The performance star of our brands at the moment is Jeep, where we just keep on accumulating sales and racking up the records,” said Johns.

Highlights of the Jeep brand’s performance in January include:

  • 1,642 sales during the month, up nearly 52 per cent on the same period last year
  • Best January ever for the brand
  • Best MONTH ever for Grand Cherokee with 913 units (up 112.3 per cent on January 2012)
  • Compass - 243 units (up 55.8 per cent on January 2012)
  • Patriot - 162 units (up 92.9 per cent on January 2012)

    The Dodge Journey, with 94 sales (up 129.3 per cent on January 2012), and the Chrysler 300 sedan with 162 sales for the month, also contributed to the record result.

    Market share for the Chrysler Jeep Dodge brands for the month rose to 2.5 per cent, up from 1.8 per cent the previous year.
