EDTA President Brian Wynne to Participate During Public Policy Days at Washington Auto Show

WHERE: Washington Convention Center, 801 Mt Vernon Pl NW, Washington, DC 20001
WHAT: EDTA President Brian Wynne will participate during the Public Policy Days at the Washington Auto Show, promoting battery, hybrid, plug-in hybrid and fuel cell electric drive technologies and infrastructure. Wynne will also in join in support of the U.S. Department of Energy's EV Everywhere Grand Challenge. Energy Secretary Steven Chu will be the government keynote speaker at the event.
WHY: The Washington Auto Show and Secretary Chu's address come at an exciting time for the electric vehicle industry. Yearly plug-in vehicle sales increased 198 percent in 2012, and the number of available models in the U.S. market is expected to triple by model year 2015. Since entering the market just over two years ago, over 70,000 plug-in vehicles have hit American roads.
WHO: EDTA President Brian Wynne will be available for media interviews following Energy Secretary Steven Chu's keynote address.
