ZETLAND, AUSTRALIA – Jan 11, 2013: Audi’s Managing Director, Uwe Hagen, will officially leave Australia on 15 January 2013.

Mr Hagen, who has held the top job at Audi Australia since early 2010, will return to Germany to recuperate, following a motorcycle accident last year. He remains a senior executive at AUDI AG.

During Mr Hagen’s tenure, the Audi brand has grown by a remarkable 40 percent in Australia, and has continued to invest in its national network of dealerships.

Some 20 new or significantly upgraded models have been launched in the three years since 2010.

A successor will be announced shortly. In the interim, the company’s acting managing director is the chairman of the Board of Audi Australia, André Konsbruck, who heads an experienced general management team that will be responsible for the daily operation of the business.
