Motorsports Venues - Angell Park Speedway's 2013 11 Event Schedule Features Badger, POWRi, USAC National Midgets

SUN PRAIRIE, Dec. 30, 2012: Angell Park Speedway has scheduled an 11-event season starting May 19 and concluding Sept. 1 in 2013 featuring the Badger Midget Auto Racing Association, POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget Series and United States Auto Club National Midgets.

“With Badger, POWRi and USAC, we’ll have the best Midget drivers and teams in America racing at Angell Park Speedway this season,” said Kenny Brown, whose POWRi Racing enters its first season as the track’s promoter.

The Stark Automotive Group/Mid-State Equipment Badger Midget Series races in 11 events and seven will be co-sanctioned with POWRi’s National Midgets. USAC’s National Midgets will join Badger and POWRi on June 23 and for the Miller Lite Cornfest Midget Classic on Aug. 18.

There are a pair of doubleheaders on the schedule, Memorial Day weekend on May 25-26 and Aug. 31-Sept. 1 for the Pepsi Midget Nationals. The May 25 and Aug. 31 events are Saturdays and the remaining nine are run on Angell Park’s traditional Sundays.

Badger’s 77th Anniversary Race, co-sanctioned by POWRi, is scheduled for July 14.

The Badger 600 Micro Series will race the entire 11-event schedule. The Illinois Racing Series brings its Illini Midgets to Angell Park on May 25-26, July 14 and Aug. 18. Legend cars will run on May 19, June 30, July 28, Aug. 4 and Sept. 1.
