And the winner is...
BEAULIEU, UNITED KINGDOM – Dec 19, 2012: A popular MINI One Convertible was the star prize in this year’s National Motor Museum Trust Prize Draw and the lucky winner was Mr Ronald Kerridge, a retired engineer from Portsmouth. Ronald has been a Life Member of the museum’s Friends since 1976 and bought his winning ticket at a Friends’ evening earlier in the year.
At a prize giving ceremony outside Palace House, Mr Kerridge was presented with the keys to his new car by Lord Montagu. He said:” I could hardly believe it when I received the phone call to say I’d won the MINI. I’ve bought a ticket in the Trust draw every year since it started, but you never expect to win.”
Mark Southgate from Thetford, Norfolk won the second prize of a seat in the 2013 London Brighton Run with a night’s accommodation in London. The third prize of a ride in the National Motor Museum’s 1909 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost and lunch in Palace House went to Carl Rayner of Wakefield and Kat Suniki of Bournemouth received the fourth prize of a Sat Nav, donated by Garmin.
The draw raised £54,950 to further the work of the National Motor Museum Trust which is responsible for the world-renowned collection of over 250 motor vehicles and thousands of artefacts.
