BOSTON--Dec. 14, 2012: The New England Acura Dealers have pledged to raise $500,000 for Boston Children's Hospital, establishing a two-year relationship benefiting one of the top pediatric medical centers in the U.S. A portion of the proceeds from every Acura sold in each of the seven participating dealerships will go toward the hospital. Acura will also be recognized as the "Official Car" at all signature fundraisers benefiting Boston Children's Hospital.

"We're thankful to the New England Acura Dealers for their generosity and willingness to help advance the health of children through care, research and education," said Carola Cadley, Vice President of Corporate Development and Special Events at Children's Hospital Trust.

The New England Acura Dealers' donation will go toward the Children's Fund, an unrestricted fund that supports the hospital's areas of greatest need.  The New England Acura Dealers will also serve as a top-level sponsor at all signature fundraisers benefiting Boston Children's Hospital including the Boston Investment Conference, the Texas Hold 'Em Tournament, the Milagros Para Niños Gala and the recent Champions for Children's event, which helped raise $3.2 million.

"We are honored to be able to help Boston Children's Hospital continue to do the amazing things they do for children in the local community, as well as what they do for the medical community," said Christopher F. Connolly Jr., President of the New England Acura Dealers.

To celebrate the new relationship, Boston Children's Hospital recently hosted the New England Acura Dealers executives for a check presentation recognizing the pledge and a car-painting activity for children at the hospital.
