COSTA MESA, CA--Dec. 13, 2012: Hyundai Motor America has been designated a 2013 Military Friendly Employer by Victory Media, the publisher of G.I. Jobs announced earlier this week. Companies earned the designation via the same data-driven survey and methodology as the previously released Top 100 Military Friendly Employers list. Criteria for the designation included a benchmark score across key programs and policies such as the strength of company military recruiting efforts, the percentage of new hires with prior military service, retention programs, and company policies on National Guard and Reserve service.
"It is a tremendous honor for us to be named a military friendly
employer by Victory Media. Providing opportunities to the men and women
that have served this country is an important part of our commitment to
diversity and inclusion at Hyundai," said Paul
Koh, Acting Executive Director of Human Resources, Hyundai Motor
America. "We greatly appreciate and value the knowledge and expertise that
employees with military experience bring to our company."
Hyundai Motor America will be showcased, along with other designated
Military Friendly Employers in the January edition of
G.I. Jobs
magazine. Hyundai's company profile, including open positions that are
a fit for military personnel, can be found on Military Friendly. Using
the priority data engine on
Military Friendly
, job seekers are able to design their own custom lists of employers
according to their preferences. Custom, user-directed lists can then be
saved and shared socially, allowing each job seeker to find their unique #1
Military Friendly Employer.
"Companies earning the prestigious Military Friendly Employers
designation are rising stars with strong military recruitment programs and
meaningful job opportunities for transitioning service members and spouses
seeking civilian employment," said Sean
Collins, vice president for Victory Media and director for G.I. Jobs. "These Military Friendly Employers
are on the right trajectory to be a Top 100 Employer in years to come."
