TORONTO--December 13, 2012: --AlertDriving, the global leader in driver risk management solutions, has announced the release of its Compliance, Safety, Accountability (CSA) Hazardous Materials Compliance Training Module. The new module was developed in response to a change made by the FMCSA to their Safety Measurement System that was announced in March of this year and implemented this week.

“As the industry leaders, our clients rely on us to provide them with comprehensive driver risk management programs”

Created specifically for commercial and medium duty vocational truck drivers, the new Hazardous Materials Compliance module has been designed to reduce the risk of drivers committing hazardous materials violations. The module focuses on providing drivers with an understanding on these violations, highlighting the safety and security risks involved in transporting hazardous materials and providing techniques to avoid hazardous materials violations, spills and crashes.

"As the industry leaders, our clients rely on us to provide them with comprehensive driver risk management programs," said Rob Martin, Vice President of Sales. "Our highly scalable solutions allow us to quickly adapt our curriculum to meet these new requirements, ensuring our clients receive the most relevant content possible."

Compliance, Safety, Accountability (CSA) is a FMCSA initiative to improve road safety and ultimately reduce crashes, injuries and fatalities. Drivers are assessed under seven Behavior Analysis & Safety Improvement Categories (BASICs), focusing on driving behaviors that lead to crashes, such as fatigued driving and driving under the influence. The new Hazardous Materials Compliance module is a component of AlertDriving's seven specific training module package designed to target the seven BASICs.

The CSA Training Program allows for companies to deploy a consistent training regime to their entire commercial fleet, as well as dispense violation-specific training modules immediately upon discovery of an infraction.

AlertDriving's CSA training program is available fully customized for both commercial and medium duty vocational truck drivers.
