Honda and LeasePLUS Announce Partnership With The Melbourne Renegades

TULLAMARINE, AUSTRALIA – Dec 6, 2012: Honda Australia in conjunction with LeasePLUS has been announced as the official vehicle partner of The Melbourne Renegades for the 2012 KFC T20 Big Bash League.

The Renegades are one of two Melbourne-based teams in the Big Bash League which kicks off this Friday night at Etihad stadium.

The Renegades are set to be one of the fiercest teams in the competition with star Sri Lankan recruit Muthiah Muralitharan boosting team spirits and expectations.

Honda Australia’s Director and General Manager Sales and Marketing, Mr. Stephen Collins said the partnership is an exciting one for all the brands involved. “The Big Bash League is a new and exciting competition and The Melbourne Renegades are a team that we and LeasePLUS are proud to partner with.”

A variety of Honda vehicles will be provided to the team for use during the season including the all-new CR-V, Accord, Civic Hatch and the Honda Odyssey. The vehicle selection has been welcomed by the Melbourne Renegades CEO Stuart Coventry.

"With many of our players travelling from interstate and overseas for the competition, the valued support of Honda through LeasePLUS will make life easier to move our team to and from Etihad Stadium,” Melbourne Renegades CEO Stuart Coventry said.

Each of the vehicles feature The Renegades livery, so there will be no mistaking when they are rolling through the streets of Melbourne this summer.

The season’s curtain raiser on Friday between The Renegades and the Melbourne Stars is shaping up to be a big one. The game is being held at The Renegades home ground of Etihad Stadium with two of the sports’ greatest ever bowlers Muthiah Muralidaran and Shane Warne facing off against eachother.
