Mitsubishi Motors Records Solid Sales in November
SYDNEY – Dec 6, 2012: Mitsubishi Motors Australia Limited’s (MMAL) recorded a solid month in November with total sales of 5,008.
On November 18, the all-new Outlander went on sale in Australia with 436 sold in its first 13 days on the market. The total number for Outlander reached 566.
Triton 4x4 continued to be a strong performer with 982 units. Combined with 530 Triton 4x2s, it was a great month for Triton with total sales of 1,512.
Challenger recorded a steady 247 units while the Pajero returned a strong 761 units, giving MMAL its best November on record in the Medium SUV category with a total of 1,008.
The city-sized ASX performed well with 542 units in November, bringing the year-to-date total for ASX to 6,402, a ten percent increase over 2011’s figures. In November MMAL had total SUV sales of 2,116 units, a record for the month.
MMAL CEO Mutsuhiro Oshikiri said MMAL is looking to finish 2012 strongly, with Triton and total SUV sales on track to hit record numbers.
“We’ve had a solid past three months hitting more than 5,000 sales in September, October and November and we will continue working towards steady growth in December and into 2013,” Oshikiri said.
According to official VFACTS figures, MMAL have sold 54,786 vehicles year-to-date, resulting in a 5.4 percent total market share.
