SYDNEY – Dec4, 2012: When it comes to accolades Hyundai Motor Company has a very full trophy cabinet, having won a swag of awards both locally and globally in recent weeks.

On the back of the recent Australia’s Best Cars awards - where Hyundai took home three trophies for i30, Santa Fe andiMax - comes the announcement of even more accolades, this time from overseas.

Hyundai has received the highly regarded Canadian Car of the Year award across three categories for the Accent, i30, and Santa Fe models from popular online website Auto123.com.

The Accent was awarded 2013 Sub-Compact Car of the Year and the i30 the 2013 Compact Car of the Year, while the all-new Santa Fe took the trophy for 2013 Compact Utility Vehicle of the Year.

On the other side of the globe, it was the Hyundai Accent which again enjoyed the accolades winning the prestigious 2012 B-segment Sedan of the Year, from respected Turkish automotive publication ‘Otohaber’.

“This really has been a special period for Hyundai, having received seven global awards in a matter of days,” said Hyundai Motor Company Australia Marketing Director Oliver Mann. “These accolades recognise the outstanding work the Hyundai design and engineering teams are achieving with our range of modern premium vehicles not only here in Australia, but on a global scale.”
