30 Years of C-Class - Australia's Most Successful Prestige Car Continues to Win the Awards that Matter

MULGRAVE, AUSTRALIA – Nov 30, 2012: On November 28th motoring journalists from Drive.com.au awarded the C-Class the “Best Luxury car under $80K” for the second consecutive year running despite the C-Class being challenged by new competition.

The Senior Manager, Corporate Communications, Mercedes-Benz Australia Pacific, David McCarthy said “The C-Class isn’t just an award winner with the coveted Drive.com.au “Best Luxury car under $80K” for the second consecutive year. But it won against some strong competition and it’s a winner for the 35,000 owners who have voted with their own money since July 2007 when the car was launched. When the C 250 CDI won this award last year we at Mercedes-Benz were so proud and to then also be awarded as the Drive.com.au “Car of The Year” in 2011 made it even sweeter.

Now in 2012 for C-Class to again be awarded the Drive.com.au “ Best Luxury Car under $80K” demonstrates that as one Drive.com.au judge said that the C-Class is a car “ With luxury built in, not added on” , success indeed comes in threes”, concluded McCarthy.
