New Audi West Melbourne Facility Signals Major Focus on Aftersales Service
Audi Centre Melbourne has opened its new West Melbourne facility as the first step in a major redevelopment plan for the Audi brand in the City of Melbourne.
MELBOURNE – Nov 20, 2012: The 5,519 square metre West Melbourne facility has opened its doors to the public as a major centre for pre-owned vehicles and customer aftersales service. With 30 workshop bays, it is the largest Audi aftersales facility in Australia. The site was formerly an automotive dealership and has been redeveloped at a cost of $1 million to reflect Audi’s corporate design.
It is also the first step in a major redevelopment plan for Victoria’s largest Audi dealership, Audi Centre Melbourne, which will undergo a $25 million transformation on the existing site on Swanston Street. The redevelopment will begin in March 2013 and will take around 12 months to complete.
Audi Centre Melbourne’s West Melbourne facility, located at 577 King Street, will also offer new vehicle sales from March 2013, during the construction phase of the Swanston Street dealership. After completion, West Melbourne will focus only on its reputation as a centre of excellence for pre-owned, Audi-approved vehicles, as well as aftersales service for customers of the German luxury brand.
Audi Centre Melbourne and West Melbourne owner, Bobby Zagame, says his company is looking forward to the opportunity to place a greater emphasis on aftersales service for customers.
“A successful business is built on offering the best customer service. With a premium brand like Audi, it’s even more important to be offering our customers a premium experience when they enter our showroom – from new car sales right through to service and pre-owned vehicles,” Mr Zagame said.
“With the opening of our new West Melbourne aftersales facility this year, followed by our brand new showroom in the centre of Melbourne which will open in early 2014, we plan to provide exceptional experiences for Audi owners for many years to come, and these facilities are a clear indication of our long term focus on the Audi brand in this market.”
On a national level, Audi’s dealer network is further investing in the market with an expansion of aftersales facilities in 2013. Audi Centre Perth has just completed its pre-owned and aftersales centre in Osborne Park, while Audi Centre Sydney is soon to start construction of its major new aftersales centre on South Dowling Street, Sydney.
