Company is 44th on the List of the Top 100 Companies in 2012 Ranked on Growth and Financial Performance

BRIDGEVIEW, IL--Nov. 16, 2012:  Manitex International, Inc. , a leading provider of engineered lifting solutions including boom truck and rough terrain cranes, rough terrain forklifts, special mission oriented vehicles, container handling equipment and specialized engineered trailers today announced that it has been named to the Forbes Magazine's "America's Best Small Companies" list for 2012, coming in at #44 on the list.

According to Forbes, this list compiles "an annual ranking of America's Best Small Companies that have experienced strong growth over the past five years. The 2012 list highlights public companies with sales under $1 billion, which are ranked based on return on equity, sales growth and earnings growth over the past year and the past five years." Forbes methodology factored in stock performance versus each company's peer group during the last 12 months.

The company is honored to be in such elite company with the top 100-ranked small public companies based on its growth and financial performance and reported financial results for its first 9 months of 2012 that were significantly ahead of its record financial results of full year 2011. This success was due to solid execution of the company's long-term strategy and a constant focus on launching and supporting products that fit demanding customers' needs - all during a period of uncertainty within the macroeconomic environment.
