Nissan Europe Announces Senior Management Changes

ROLLE, SWITZERLAND – November 1, 20102: Nissan has announced today changes to key roles within its Sales and Marketing function.
The management changes will strengthen the focus on delivering solid results towards achievement of the Nissan Power 88 mid-term plan.
Raoul Picello, currently Sales and Marketing Planning Advisor, Nissan Europe is appointed Managing Director of Nissan Iberia SA (NIBSA) - Nissan's Sales & Marketing company covering Spain and Portugal, effective 1st December, 2012.
In his new role, Raoul's primary responsibilities will include Sales, Aftersales; Logistics; Business Planning and Human Resources. He will be based in Barcelona reporting to Paul Willcox, Senior Vice President Sales & Marketing, Europe.
Raoul joined Nissan in September this year and is a strong asset to the company bringing with him 23 years of extensive experience in the automobile industry.
Starting his career with Ford Motor Company in 1989, he has since held senior positions in sales, marketing and customer services. His most recent role prior to joining Nissan was as Managing Director Kia Motors Iberia with direct responsibility over the entire Kia operations in Spain.
Raoul replaces Manuel de La Guardia who is appointed Vice President Sales and Marketing (NBA) Nissan Brazil - a key strategic market for Nissan. Manuel who has led Nissan Iberia through four consecutive years of market share growth will be based in Rio De Janeiro, reporting to Jose Munoz, Senior Vice President Sales & Marketing, LAC and Customer Quality and Dealer Network Development. This appointment is effective 1st January, 2013.
Manuel joins Nissan's Brazilian team at a very exciting time for the brand with expanding sales volume, the announcement of a new manufacturing plant in Resende scheduled to begin operation in 2014 and upcoming sponsorship of the 2016 Rio Olympics.
