Barcelona, Oct. 23, 2012: American Conor Daly will be busy this week with two days of World Series Renault testing in Barcelona and he will then jet straight to India to take part in the new MRF Challenge International series that will debut this weekend in support of the Indian Grand Prix.

The World Series Renault championship winning team, Tech1, have extended Daly's test to two days, October 23rd & 24th. The WSR series will conduct the two-day test after the final rounds of the championship that took place this past weekend at Circuit de Catalunya.

It will be Daly's first taste of what many believe to be the fastest junior development car in Europe. The WSR championship draws large crowds all across Europe with races in locations such as Monte Carlo and Moscow, Russia. The 3.4L V8 engine produces 530 HP and is matched to a sophisticated aerodynamic package that includes a Formula One style Drag Reduction System rear wing (DRS).

"I am very much looking forward to the test because of what people have already told me about the car and how well it performs," said Daly. "In Hungary recently it was considerably faster than the GP2 car so it has to be mighty impressive to drive. I spent the weekend with Tech1 to learn as much as possible. I like the Barcelona circuit so it's probably as good a place as any for me to learn a new car."

After completing two days of World Series Renault testing Daly will board a plane to Delhi and will arrive just in time for Friday's first practice session. "This was a bit of a surprise to me that this opportunity to race on the Buddh Formula One circuit would occur," said Daly. "What a perfect way to learn a new Grand Prix circuit. I love new challenges, new circuits and new cars and very much look forward to the adventure. My travel schedule to get to Delhi will be a little hectic but I can sleep the week after."

The MRF Challenge 2012', is a new racing series that will be held between October and February. The opening round of this series will be held on October 27th - 28th as the support race for Formula One India Grand Prix.

The all new Dallara/Renault powered cars will take to the Buddh International Circuit for the first time on Friday morning, October 26th. To learn more about this series, please go to www.mrfracing.in.

Daly finished 6th in this years GP3 championship with five podium finishes including a win in Barcelona in May.
