Motorsports Venues - Memphis International Raceway Closes Out Midnight Madness Series In High Style

Millington, Oct. 17, 2012: Think Midnight Madness is just for basketball…think again! If you’ve ever attended Midnight Madness at Memphis International Raceway, you know what I’m talking about. If not, mark your calendar for Friday, October 26, 2012 when Memphis International Raceway brings the Midnight Madness Series for the 2012 season to a close in style. The event features Midnight Madness Test and Tune Racing Action where anyone with a valid driver’s license and vehicle that passes a tech inspection can test it out on the historic drag strip alongside a myriad of street cars, bikes, dragsters and racecars. There is also a free entry car show and the biggest pit party of the season featuring Dr. Zarr’s Amazing Funk Monster.

“Our slogan at Memphis International Raceway is Where the Racing Rocks, therefore we always book a band for all our midnight madness events,” said Pam Kendrick, Vice President and General Manager at Memphis International Raceway. “As a special thank you to our race fans, it is our pleasure to bring Dr. Zarr to MIR to entertain our race fans for our Midnight Madness season finale,” said Kendrick.

The rocking pit party begins at 8:00 PM and continues until 1:00 AM, racing is from 9:00 PM – 1:00 AM. You won’t want to miss this event – drag racing, car show and Dr. Zarr’s Amazing Funk Monster in concert. This Midnight Madness finale will be a party like no other this year. Admissions is only $10 for spectators, $20 for racers and children 12 and under are FREE. Tickets are available at the gate or in advance at Ticketmaster.
