KANNAPOLIS, Oct. 2, 2012: Quicken Loans, the nation’s largest online mortgage lender, today announced that it will double down on its partnership with Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR) and Ryan Newman, driver of the No. 39 Chevrolet in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.

Through the new agreement, Quicken Loans will serve as Newman’s primary sponsor for 18 Sprint Cup races in 2013, marking the majority of the season. When not the primary sponsor, the company will be an associate sponsor on Newman’s Chevrolet. Additionally, Quicken Loans will remain as an associate sponsor on the No. 14 Mobil 1 Chevrolet driven by three-time and reigning Sprint Cup champion Tony Stewart throughout the 2013 season.

The company also announced details of its newly launched Skip-a-Year Sweepstakes, which will pay up to five entrants’ mortgages for a full year. By visiting www.qlracing.com, fans will be able to enter the sweepstakes, earn multiple entries to win the grand prize of a yearlong vacation from their mortgage, or one of the other prizes, including memorabilia signed by both Newman and Stewart. The promotion runs through Nov. 18, 2012.

“We were not sure what to expect with the 2012 season being our first in the sport,” said Jay Farner, President and Chief Marketing Officer for Quicken Loans. “What we quickly found was that NASCAR fans are tremendously passionate and loyal to the brands that help drive their sport. It was their commitment to our company that ultimately allowed us to significantly increase our involvement with the sport, Stewart-Haas Racing and Ryan Newman.

“To celebrate our continued support of the sport, we thought it would be exciting to put together an amazing sweepstakes for the fans where we give them a yearlong break from paying their mortgage. As the nation’s largest online lender, we pride ourselves on delivering an amazing client experience, and we want to engage with the fans and show them how we are different from every other lender out there.”

In 2012, Quicken Loans is a primary sponsor for nine races with Newman and the No. 39 team, while also maintaining an associate sponsorship with Stewart.

“I’m really looking forward to having Quicken Loans back with the team in 2013,” Newman said. “Over the past year I’ve come to know the company well, and learned more about mortgages than I ever thought I would. They’re really into our sport and have engaged with our fans in a big way. I look forward to representing them well through the rest of this year and next.”

“A year ago I said our No. 1 goal for our relationship with Quicken Loans was to make their first year in the sport a positive one that allowed them to increase their presence with our team,” said Stewart, co-owner of SHR with Haas Automation founder Gene Haas. “While I wish we could’ve gotten them into the Chase, I’m proud of the bond we’ve formed and look forward to growing it in 2013 and beyond.”
