Renault Releases New Koleos Bose Special Edition

VICTORIA, AUSTRALIA – Sept 20, 2012: Renault Australia has today added to its Koleos line-up with the introduction of the new Koleos Bose Special Edition.
The new Koleos Bose Special Edition combines the refined listening pleasure delivered by Bose Premium sound with modern, distinctive styling. As the name suggests, the Koleos Bose Special Edition comes standard with a state-of-the-art tailor-engineered Bose Sound System comprising a digital amplifier and 7 speakers including a subwoofer with CD/MP3 player and fingertip control.
Based on the Dynamique specification level, the Koleos Bose Special Edition is powered by a choice of 2.5-litre petrol or 2.0-litre diesel engines. The 2.5-litre petrol engine is available in 4x2 and 4x4 guise while the 2.0-litre diesel engine is available in 4x4 only.
Koleos Bose Special Edition’s appeal has been further enhanced thanks to the incorporation of a number of specific styling details including new-design 17-inch dark metal alloy wheels, piano black and carbon fibre effect interior trim and exclusive Bose badging.
The new Koleos Bose Special Edition has a recommended retail price starting at just $34,990, excluding dealer delivery and statutory charges. This is $500 more than the Dynamique specification.
Five body colours are available – solid white, pearl white, mars grey, mineral beige and metallic black.
Bose sound system: tailor-engineered sound
The Bose audio
system has been tailor-engineered for the cabin and delivers a standard of
precision and realism that replicates a live performance. To deliver this
quality of sound inside Koleos, Bose’s engineers started from a clean
sheet. Their work entailed more than a thousand acoustic readings inside
the cabin. Engineers from Renault and Bose then worked closely to optimise
the system’s integration inside the Koleos cabin as a function of its
forms and the materials employed. The number, type and position of
loudspeakers were carefully selected, while the digital processors and
signal equalisers were painstakingly tuned to produce a rich, natural, Bose
quality sound that is perfectly balanced for all occupants, whatever the
volume.
